Why should I sign up as a dancer?
Dancers are our student-fundraisers who pledge to raise $125 or more for sick kids at Seattle Children's Hospital. These dancers attend The Dance Marathon.
What is The Dance Marathon?
It is the culminating celebration of our fundraising efforts. At the end of the event our fundraising total is revealed!
When is The Dance Marathon?
February 18-19, 2017 Sat-Sun, 10am-2am.
How Long is it?
Do I really have to stand the entire time?
Yes. Excepting students with disabilities, we ask that each and every student challenge themselves to participate as fully as possible throughout the event to stand in solidarity with patients at Seattle Children's who cannot take a break from their illnesses.
Will I be bored? What is there to do?
No, you will not be bored! The Dance Marathon is a fun, dynamic event with catered meals, snacks, a photobooth, games, performances, DJs, music, dancing, speakers, and visiting patients from Seattle Children's. It's an unforgettable experience!
What should I bring?
Bring a waterbottle, comfortable shoes, an extra pair of socks, and anything else you may need in those 16 hours, including deodorant. :)
The Dance Marathon is both exhausting and exhilarating. Here's what you need to know about the big day!
The Dance Marathon Community
The Dance Marathon Community is a vibrant and passionate group of people! We hold many events throughout each quarter, visit Seattle Children's Hospital, and also communicate with you through email and social media.
We are so appreciative of our student dancer/fundraisers - it's YOU who help us raise tens of thousands of dollars for patients at Seattle Children's! As part of our appreciation, we frequently offer special gifts to our dancers like giftcards, tickets to special events, and more, as well as free swag.
